Bogna McGarrigle began playing the piano at the age of seven in her home town Debica in Poland. In high school she studied Eurythmics and piano. In 1998 she continued her Eurythmics studies at The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland.
In 2003 she graduated from the Academy of Music in Krakow with a Master's Degree with honors in Sacred Music and Choir Conducting. While in school, she served as Organist and Choir Director for the Sacred Heart Basilica in Krakow.
In 2008, Bogna received a Master's of Music in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. She was awarded a scholarship from The Kościuszko Foundation in New York.
In the spring of 2009, she completed her Master's Degree in Organ Performance at the Academy of Music in Krakow, studying with Professor Joachim Grubich.
Bogna McGarrigle has performed at various Polish organ festivals and has given solo recitals in churches and concert halls in Buffalo, Rochester, Pearl River, and New York City. She has also attended and performed at various organ master classes and summer courses in Europe and the US. She also composes her own music inspired by contemporary, religious poetry.
While at Eastman, she was the organist at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencerport, NY. Currently, she serves as the Music Director and Organist at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Katonah, NY.
She lives with her husband Peter in Tappan, NY.
