Maestro Rodzinski

Maestro Rodzinski, a documentary film on world-famous  Polish-American conductor Artur Rodzinski (1892-1958). His extraordinary career began in Poland  and he eventually became the music director of four of the most important American orchestras: the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Rodzinski introduced American audiences to the contemporary music of Szymanowski, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, and Bartok.

Maestro Rodzinski will be presented by director Bozena Garus-Hockuba, graduate of Film and Television Directing at the University of Katowice. For over 20 years, she has been producing documentaries on various cultural and artistic topics, and on famous personalities. She was a Kosciuszko Foundation Grantee in 2008/09 researching Artur Rodzinski, the subject of the presented film. Bozena Garus-Hockuba is co-founder and president of the film production company BiS FILM.
