Spring Piano Concert Series Part I

Washington International Piano Arts Council (WIPAC), in cooperation with The Kosciuszko Foundation proudly presents this celebration of music to open the 2016 Season featuring a talented pianist Alexei Ulitin of Kiev, Ukraine.

Alexei actively performs as both a soloist and a collaborative artist. He attended Aspen Music Festival three times as a collaborative pianist and a recipient of prestigious New Horizons Fellowship.  In 2013 Ulitin has worked as a member of musical staff in Siena Music Festival. During the 2013-14 school year, he served as an adjunct piano faculty at Rowan University (New Jersey). In addition to performing concerts in Finland, France, Russia, Ukraine, and the United States, Ulitin has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the Baltimore Music Club 2014; was a finalist in the Wonderlic Piano Competition 2014 and the Liszt-Garrison International Piano Competition 2013 the International Young Artist Piano Competition in Washington DC 2010 (1st prize); MTNA competition 2010 (Eastern Division Winner). Alexei holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Rowan University (New Jersey) and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the National Music Academy of Ukraine. He is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts student and a Graduate Assistant in Collaborative Piano at the University of Maryland, studying with Rita Sloan

           

Washington International Piano Arts Council (WIPAC) was established in 2001 to promote international friendship and mutual understanding among nations, to provide an educational forum for all levels of professional and non-professional pianists, to create a renaissance of interest in the art of piano artistry, and to provide venues worldwide where classical music can flourish in many communities
