Sri Lankan-born Malinee Peris is a prize-winner of International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. She has made numerous concert appearances throughout the world. Prof. Peris has played with American orchestras, including the Washington National Symphony, the Baltimore and Houston Symphony orchestras, and with orchestras in Europe, Israel and Australia. She has also performed at Avery Fisher Hall in New York's Lincoln Center and the Filene Center at Wolf Trap, Virginia. Ms. Peris is currently coordinator for Keyboard Studies and teaches as Associate Professor of Music at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. She serves on the Board of Directors of the "Dumbarton Concert Series" and reviews concerts for the Washington Post.
