The Kosciuszko Foundation is fortunate to own an extensive collection of artwork, compiled over the years through the generosity of its members and friends. The earliest identifiable materials were books, journals, and prints; a collection of glass magic lantern slides of Poland exists from this period as well as scrapbooks detailing Polish academic life from the interwar period. The status of the collection from this period is of a purely educational nature with material of many disciplines compiled to inform the American public about Poland. These materials included maps, posters, fine art prints, and photographs. Some of these items were sent directly from Poland and some were gifts from early scholars.
