Malgorzata Goroszewska is a 26-years-old artist. She earned her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance under Professor Joseph Kalichstein at the Juillliard School (New York). A Polish native, she grew up with affinity for the Polish composer Frédéric Chopin. In 2010 she was honored by the Polish Institute in Vienna for her interpretations of Chopin's music and was awarded the Warsaw City Scholarship of John Paul II. In 2012, she toured with the international orchestra "I, Culture Orchestra", an ongoing project to bring Eastern and Western Europe together through music (concerts in Lublin, Warsaw, Minsk, Kiev, Chisinau and Tbilisi).
Malgorzata was born in 1988 in Bialystok (Poland). At the age of 7 she began her musical training studying piano and theory, and later included composition and chamber music. In her teenage years she participated in numerous music competitions as a soloist, chamber musician, collaborative pianist, theorist and composer in Poland and abroad.
As a teenager she received three artistic scholarships in 2007: the Otwarta Filharmonia Agrafki Muzycznej, the Podlaskie Marshal's Scholarship and the Morningside Music Bridge –a scholarship from Mount Royal College in Calgary.
At 19, she began her undergraduate studies at the Frédéric Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Poland), as a student of Edward Wolanin. She continued her education at the University of Music in Warsaw and the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien, Hannover (Germany) on an ERASMUS scholarship in 2011, studying under pianists Christopher Oakden and Bernd Goetzke.
Malgorzata has taken part in numerous festivals and master classes in her home country, including the following cities: Krynica Zdrój, Suwałki, Wigry, Zamość, Zakopane and Warsaw. She has also participated in International Festivals such as Morningside Music Bridge, Mount Royal College in Calgary, Canada; Euro Music Festival, Klosterneuburg; Sommerakademie Prag-Wien–Budapest, Austria, and EMF, Wuppertal, Germany. She has worked with: Krzysztof Jablonski, Lee Kum Sing, John Perry, Hang Jin, Nicholas Pulos, David Moroz, Zbigniew Raubo, Ella Susmanek, Roza Kostrzewska-Yoder, B. Goetzke, Martin Hughes, Sandor Falvai, Aviedis Kouyoumdijan, Katarzyna Popowa Zydroń, Gottlieb Wallish, Edward Wolanin Michail Woskriesienski.
Malgorzata is currently a member of the collaborative piano staff of New York's School for Strings, and also maintains a private teaching studio.
