Lukasz Pawlik - pianist, cellist, composer and producer. He was born into a family with a rich musical tradition. His father Wlodek Pawlik is a Grammy-winning jazz pianist and composer.
Lukasz Pawlik received his musical education at Western Michigan University and Robert-Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf.
He has nurtured his interests in both classical and jazz genres over the course of his life. He has been awarded top honors both at classical cello competitions, as well as jazz contests, with his first band "Kattorna", including prizes at 6. Berlin Jazz&Blues Award (2006) and Jazz nad Odrą (2008). He has produced 2 records with his own music. The most recent one "Long-Distance Connections" will have its premiere on June 4th, 2021, released by Summit Records. The album features guest performances by such artists as Randy Brecker, Tom Kennedy, Gary Nivak, Mike Stern, Dave Weckl.
Currently, Pawlik is completing the score for his new work for symphony orchestra and improvising jazz trio entitled "3 Works for Orchestra", planned to be premiered in 2021.
