Jewish minority was the largest and the oldest minority that inhabited the lands belonging to Poland and the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth. Professor Prokop-Janiec is an established specialist in the field of Polish-Jewish cultural relations, and author of many books and articles on the topic published in Polish, Hebrew, German and English. The lecture will focus on key issues such as isolation and contact, discrimination and emancipation, cooperation and rivalry, the role of the Jewish intelligentsia.
