Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of PolandMinistry of Culture and National Heritage initiates and coordinates many projects which promote Polish culture. It also strengthens cultural links and establish lasting contact between Polish and foreign artists, art institutions or cultural animators. An extremely important part of the Ministry's activities beyond the borders of our country is the protection of Polish heritage. Thanks to the Ministry's financial support (Culture Promotion Fund) the Kosciuszko Foundation has been able to conserve and restore a part of its art collection, including such paintings as: W. Kossak "Wounded Soldier", A. Wierusz-Kowalski "The Horse Fair", O. Boznanska "Woman in a Blue Dress", J. Matejko "Portrait of a Scholar", J. Styka "Polonia" and A. Gramatyka ""Sisters of Charity". |
