VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED

FOR THE POLISH FLUID STATION  AT THE NYC MARATHON

Sunday, November 6, 2016 , 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Fluid station in Greenpoint Mile 13 (McGuiness Blvd. & Green St.)

The Kosciuszko Foundation partners with the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union and the Jozef Pilsudski Institute to make the Greenpoint Mile 13 Fluid Station a Polish Station!

This year more than 400 runners from Poland are expected to take part in the world's largest marathon that runs right through Greenpoint. Imagine how excited they will be to have a serious Polish-American presence at exactly half of the course!!!

At least 100 volunteers are needed to set up the fluid station, fill more than 100,000 cups of water and energy drink and distribute them to over 50,000 thirsty runners!

Youth under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian. This is a great way for students to gain community service credit early in the year, for families to volunteer together and for the Polish community to get some recognition for their impact in the community.

Volunteers will receive a rain poncho, volunteer pin, canvas tote bag and certificate of appreciation.

Please spread the word among your family and friends!
