Vocal Performance by Malgorzata Kellis

Having recently been awarded her DMA from the Gdansk Academy in Poland, Polish American soprano Dr. Malgorzata Kellis has been heard performing in concert, opera and oratorio throughout Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. Her repertoire includes the roles of Despina, Rosina, II Lady and Pamina, Adele, Rosalinda, Hrabina-"Countess" by Moniuszko, Zosia (Verbum Nobile - Moniuszko), Basia (Krakowiacy I gorale- Kurpinski), Musetta, Zerlina and Susanna.

A frequent guest at international music festivals, Dr. Kellis has appeared at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, Warsaw Royal Castle, Lancut Castle, the Munich Gasteig Philharmonie, Italy's legendary Accademia di Santa Cecilia, the Krakow Opera, and the Warsaw Opera & Musical Theater. Additionally, she has performed with the famous bass baritone Simon Estes. She recently returned from Lezajsk, Poland where she opened the XXII International Organ and Chamber Music with the legendary Metropolitan Opera tenor Wieslaw Ochman.

Dr. Kellis is also a producer and arranger of vocal music for string quartet. She has her own voice studio in New York City and last summer was engaged in conducting a Vocal Master Class in Lezajsk, Poland.

Dan Franklin Smith is a resident of New York City where is works as a vocal coach and collaborative pianist. He made his European solo recital debut in 1997 just outside of Stockholm, Sweden, where he received a standing ovation and rave reviews. The following year, he made his European orchestral debut in Stockholm. A debut recording with the Gävle Symfoniorkester soon followed and not long afterward, a recording with the Stuttgart Philharmonic. Eight years ago, he was named Music Director and recital soloist with the international festival Elysium: Between Two Continents with recent performances in Berlin, Munich and Prague in September 2014.  Munich newspapers have praised his work for "stirring emotionalism, precision with keen intensity, the subtle hesitations and shifts that constitute great expression." Upcoming solo recitals include performances in Arizona, New Mexico and Stockholm.  Mr. Smith has devoted much of his professional life to working with singers as a vocal coach and collaborative pianist.
