Join us for this year's celebration at the Waldorf=Astoria as the Kosciuszko Foundation honors three prominent Poles:  President Lech Walesa, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Dr. Maria Siemionow, the pioneering  plastic surgeon who conducted the world's first face transplant, and renowned artist & painter, Rafal Olbinski.

Mr. Joseph E. Gore, Esq. and Mrs. Eugenia F. Gore serve as this year's Ball Chairpersons. Eight chapter presidents of the Kosciuszko Foundation will also be honored during the evening: Mr. John Bartus (Pittsburgh Chapter), Professor Jan Bialsiewicz (Rocky Mountain Chapter), Professor Lidia Filus (Chicago Chapter), Mr. Christopher Golinski (Western NY Chapter), Mrs. Mary Kay Pieski (Ohio Chapter), Professor Waldemar Priebe (Texas Chapter), Mrs. Carolyn Czaja Topor (New England Chapter), Ms. Teresa Wojcik, Ph.D. (Philadelphia Chapter) and Mr. Andre Zlotnicki, Chair of the National Advisory Committee.  The Polish American Dance Company will also perform one of its original pieces.

Under the patronage of Mrs. Patti Rutkoske McCune, six young ladies will be presented as debutantes at the Ball.  They are Miss Mikhaela Ackerman of Winston Salem, NC, Miss Diana Marie Grutzmacher of Marshallville, OH, Miss Natasha Polewac of Plainview, NY, Miss Adria and Miss Rachel Wynszynski of Monnton, PA, and Miss Alexandra Zachowski of Durham, CT.  Ms. Juliana Fazio is the Honorary Chairwoman of the Debutante Council.

The Ball is the Foundation's annual fundraising event which brings together the most successful Poles in America and the Polish diplomatic community for a night of dining, dancing and networking.  Founded in 1925, the Kosciuszko Foundation is the oldest educational and cultural organization dedicated to fostering relations between Poland and the United States and awards up to $1 million annually in scholarships and grants.

Purchase your tickets online or by calling the Kosciuszko Foundation office at 212 734-2130.

A gourmet dinner and participation by the midshipmen of the Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy, dancing to the Hank Lane Orchestra and a performance by the Polish American Folk Dance Company will assure a memorable evening.

Tickets for this prestigious black tie event are $275 before April 1, or $300 after.  Students pay $200.  To reserve your ticks, please call the Kosciuszko Foundation at 212 734-2130, or you can order them online.

Each year the Kosciuszko Foundation holds a raffle with cash prizes totaling $10,000.  We are pleased to add a new prize for the 75th Ball:  a case of sparkling wine donated by Tom and Cynthia Rosicki, owners of Sparkling Pointe Vineyard.  Sparkling Pointe is the first vineyard and winery located in Southold, New York, dedicated to producing only sparkling wines and has already won many awards. Please visit their website.

Proceeds support the educational and cultural mission of the Foundation and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
