Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 7:00pm

Over the past few months we have followed an unusual course of the lonely journey of Aleksander Doba who crossed the Atlantic Ocean in his kayak. On April 19th, Olek ended his expedition tapping the coast of Florida in New Smyrna Beach. He covered a distance of more than 5,400 miles between Europe and the United States.

For the last several days, Olek has been residing in Washington, DC, where he is not only resting after a long journey, but is also meeting with people interested in his passion of exploration.

We would like to invite you to meet with Olek at The Kosciuszko Foundation this coming Tuesday to hear his story of a 167 day solo transatlantic trip.

Olek would like to thank you for your words of encouragement and recognition that in various forms were sent to him during and after his expedition.

We will also meet with Piotr Chmielinski who is coordinating Aleksander  Doba's stay in the US after the completion of his kayak crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
