Please consider becoming a supporter of this Competition!
This competition brings young classical pianists from numerous US states, and we are committed to providing a world-class experience for the contestants who come to the Nation's Capital.
Our main goal is to encourage talented young pianists to explore Polish composers and promote public awareness of Polish culture.
We want to inspire the younger pianists to continue walking on the Chopin's path that for some may start in Washington, DC and end at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland!
The internationally recognized jury is lead by Krzysztof Jablonski of Poland and Canada, who is a prizewinner of the 1985 Chopin Competition in Warsaw and will be a juror on the 2020 Warsaw competition. We are also honored to include among our jury members John O'Conor of Ireland, Jose Ramos Santana of Puerto Rico, Stanislav Khristenko of Ukraine, and Martin Labazevitch of the United States and Poland.
Top prizes include:
performances at the Embassy of Poland, at The Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City, and The Puerto Rico International Piano Festival, as well as cash prizes.
These performance opportunities and cash awards make it possible for those most lauded contestants to gain exposure they otherwise would not have an access to and to receive financial assistance for travel expenses, extra lessons, and all that goes into traveling and playing in events like ours.
The administrative costs as well as our cash prizes are still in need of sponsorship.
If you consider giving a donation to sponsor a prize entirely, it will be presented in your name.
All donations will be given public recognition in our program and on our website.
Cash Prizes are as follows:
Category 3 (16-18 years)
1st Prize $1,000
2nd Prize $600
3rd Prize $300
Category 2 (13-15 years)
